Auctioneering At Prices You Can Afford!

Education -I was born in Memphis, TX in 1953. My family consists of many generations of farmers/ranchers. My family moved to Wellington in 1959 where I began first grade. I graduated from Wellington High School in 1971. I then attended West Texas State University and graduated with a BS in Animal Science in 1975. After graduating, I returned to Wellington and joined the family farm. In 1976, I married Charlotte Roberson of Lakeview, TX, and we were blessed with three children and (as of now) 6 grandchildren. In 1977, I began a career with the USDA-Soil Conservation Service. I worked with the SCS in Pampa, Spearman, and Stinnett TX. In 1982, I was offered a job with the USDA-Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. My career with the ASCS took me to Tahoka, TX for 6 months of training. Then I was hired by the Hansford County ASCS office in Spearman, TX where I worked and lived until 1994. In 1994, I was hired by the Collingsworth County ASCS. Today, I am still employed by the ASCS , now known as the Farm Service Agency.

Experience -My auction career started in about 1980 when I began by assisting David Caison, with Caison Auction Service, clerking for his sales. I have spent a lot of my life around livestock and farm auctions and have always enjoyed listening to good auctioneers. Eventually, I received my own auctioneer license and continued to assist other auction company's with their auctions. I have worked with David Caison of Wellington, TX, the late Kenneth Bozeman of Perryton, TX, Rick Riggins of Spearman, TX and other auction companies over the years.

Goal -It is my goal to treat all clients fair and equitable. I want clients and buyers to know that they can trust this auction service. Being known as a man of integrity is my goal. I want my Lord, Jesus Christ to be glorified in every activity that I participate in. I know that there will be times when questions arise, and I hope that everyone will feel free to visit with me, allow me to explain, or work out the disagreement to all parties satisfaction.

Religion - I accepted Christ as Lord and Savior in 1964, and joined the First Baptist Church of Wellington, TX. I have continued to serve my Lord in every town that I have lived in. Currently, I am blessed to be back in Wellington, and a member of the First Baptist Church again. I do not believe that Baptist is the only denomination. I do believe that Jesus Christ is the only Savior, and any denomination that doesn't worship him is not a correct denomination.
